Today's Reading...
Exodus 29:44-46
Acts 7
Acts 7:58-59
His [Stephen] accusers took off their coats and laid them at the feet of a young man named saul...Saul was one of the witnesses, and he agreed completely with the stoning of Stephen.
Observation
A life of sin carries with it a lot of regrets. The "what if" questions along with the "how could I" statements have away of often getting in the way of the progress Jesus wants to do in our lives.
Paul learned how to take those regrets and use them to remember how deep into sin he once was, without allowing him to stay steeped in the guilt of the past.
Application
The past that everyone of us has must be treated the same way. We must allow it to remind us of how in need of Christ's salvation we are, yet , it must be left behind as well. Learning, by God's grace, to forgive ourselves and to live without regrets is vital to God using us as new creations.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank you that i have been made new through the blood of Jesus Christ. Thank you that your grace erases my past and may your grace help me to live in that forgiveness as well. In Jesus name!
